Glitched File Explorer (Windows 10)

So My File Explorer is glitching out and making these strange black boxes and weird lines, its not affecting performance just the look of it and how I'm able to navigate through it.

 

I am using some custom ico's as you can see. But this just started happening and I have been using these for weeks. Also If I restart the pc it seems to go away. I think the glitches get triggered when I connect my iPhone to my pc through usb.

 

Any tips on what to do to stop this is much appreciated! <3

It looks like something to do with those icons. Try to uninstall them and connect your iPhone (after a reboot) and see if it happens again.

Well the custom icons were set via a tool you used which overrides icons stored in DLLs. If the program has a bug, or is not writing the icon correctly to what Windows expected in the DLL file, then it can create a corruption.

The custom icons maybe worked fine for a while, but if windows had any type of update that could cause issues as well.

So restarted, everything seems fine, plugged in phone everything is fine. It just seems to occur randomly.

Yup. These kind of issues are called memory corruptions. You have to trigger something or a series of things to make it happen. You can have 1 or multiple ways to trigger it.
