Apologies in advanced if hardly any of this makes sense, I had a bit of caffeine, and on top of that my organization skills are shit.

I have some personal computers that I bought for shits and giggles but don't have any plans for them that don't cost a whole lot of money. On top of that I had a client return a system I had sold her (was within 90 day warranty) because she never used it.

I don't want to sell any of the computers mentioned in this. I will if I can't figure anything out.

These are all my personal rigs that I've bought for myself and do not belong to my shop. The pseudo-Alienware was a half-gift for the previously mentioned client, she wanted it but didn't have the money so I lowered the price for her. So much for that.

So here are the machines that I don't know what to do with, plus maybe some plans:

-Pseudo-Alienware: basically an Alienware Area 51 R5 in a nice case

Intel Xeon X5460

8GB DDR2 at 1066MHz

600W PSU

GTX 590

nVidia nForce 680i SLI motherboard (ATX)

160GB 7200RPM SATAIII drive

2x 500GB drives in RAID0

Vivo Athena case

Plans: Put 3010 mobo in?

-Dell Optiplex 3010

Intel i5 3470

8GB Corsair XMS3 (phased out from my main PC after I upgraded) (2x 4GB sticks)

250W PSU

Intel HD Graphics

Dell Optiplex 3010 motherboard (non-proprietary f-ATX)

500GB WD Blue

Dell Optiplex 3010 case (I really like it)

Plans: Wanted as media PC but idk

-HP Elite 8300

Intel i5 3470

8GB HP 1333Mhz DDR3 (nondescript), dual channel (4x 2GB sticks)

240W PSU

Intel HD Graphics

HP Elite 8300 motherboard (semi proprietary BTX)

0GB 0RPM NoDrive

HP Elite 8300 proprietary case

Plans: Was gonna put this into a client's Optiplex 760 case cuz it's BTX but the Optiplex has a proprietary case I/O shield

all the 3rd gen stuff can be sold for a decent price

The Xeon maybe similar price or a bit lower.

You wanna feel good, give them to a needy family for at cost.

Poor people cant afford new shit, but old shit like your shit, is perfect shit for them for school shit.

You could even get a peer to peer funding going on to help out, and end user is no cash out of pocket.

How much did you dump into them, not including labor?

The Xeon pseudo-Alienware I've dumped a bit too much in, probably $400-$500. The 590 is a pretty rare card and cost the most. The RAM was also very expensive as there was almost no 1066 DDR2 made and I had to scour the Net for it.

The Elite had a 1TB HDD that I put in my NAS. I put a bit into it, maybe $250 and another $100 on the RAM. I am probably going to sell this.

The Optiplex I've sunk a lot into because I love the OEM cases that Dell makes. Idk why but they look nice and clean and professional. I really don't want to get rid of it but don't know what to do with it. Some blue LED PWM 92mm fans would really make it pop along with a low profile 1050ti. but I need groceries and shit.
