i want to build a setup for Game Developing but can't decide the parts to use

Hello, like you know from the title I want to build a pc for game developing I am new to this and laptop that I have now is okay but slow, when only the 3ds max is open in idle it takes almost all the memory(4 gb) and some times lead to crash if im doing more than that(with more I mean listing to music while searching in the internet and taking notes with libre office).

the system that I have in mind is:

I5 7400

8GB of ram

gtx 1050

and 2 128 ssd for raid 0

in an itx case

problem is it's over my budget, and not only that but i'm a beginner in solidworks too. so my laptop can keep up with these well,

what do you recommend for me while keeping the cost low and with a smooth experience

I'd suggest a single 250 gb SSD instead of 2 in raid 0. And try ATX formfactor. Lots of moar options. And not sure, but maybe Ryzen R5 fits your budget?

here's a sub $600 build with a better cpu for render/multitasking:

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/MxMcKZ

if you've got an extra ~$100-200 you can double the ram and get a 1TB storage drive or something.

Build: Intel S2600gz, 2x E5-2670, EVGA SC 1070, Zotac 1060 6GB mini, 48GB Micron 1333mhz ECC DDR3, 2x Intel DPS-750XB 750 watt PSU

I want it to be as small as possiable so I will go with an itx and I heard that raid0 is faster

Raid 0 won't give you much benefit with ssds. It also double the chance of failure since if either drive dies all the data is gone.

If you really want faster get an m.2 pcie drive. That'll put sata ssds, even in raid 0, to shame,

thank you but ryzen can be a problem because I want an itx build because I just want it to be small and I won't care about upgrade like sli and thing like that and when it is the time I would just build a new rig

ok but m.2 and nvme is ridiculously expensive in my area(turkey)

there you go, mini itx and an m.2 drive

I bet you would not notice the "speed gains" from 2 cheap 128 gb SSD's in raid 0 vs 1 somewhat quality 250 gb SSD. And if you are going for small form factor, 2 is moar space then 1.

Also, if your budget won't allow for an ITX, then you have to accept it/save some money. Or you could look at different form factors. (+ I didn't see an actual reason to go for small form factor...) Wanting ITX on an budget because of "reasons", is a bad idea.

And considering your statement about "i've heard that"... I think you might need to apply some logic and research.

I made some research and it confuses me more I looked every where and only thing that I foud is about xeon i7 and quodro firepro gpu, I want a small form factor case because it is easy to move around when I want it to and it need less space in my table then an atx case

I think he meant research into raid 0. As long as you're using an ssd it should be fast enough. raid 0 will be a very minor speed increase at the cost of space, money, and increased risk.

For entry programming and graphics work there's no reason to need xeon chips and quadros. Your best bet for a workhorse cpu is ryzen and a gtx 1050 or amd 460 should be a find gpu.
