SFF Gaming Build >$1000 USD

Hello everyone.

I'm building a gaming PC for my sister, and she has 2 requirements:

As small as possible, and under $1000 USD including peripherals. She doesn't care too much about gaming performance, she's happy with 1080p 60 fps range as long as it runs.

I have a solid general idea of a SFF build for it with a 1050 Ti and either an i5 or Ryzen 5 CPU. I'm trying to figure out if Ryzen 5 or an i5 provides more value at this level. I've done cheaper builds with i5 but I'm mainly curious how Ryzen performs when compared to something like a i5 7600 or 7500

Can we get an idea of what she will play before we build?

She likes to play Overwatch a lot, and otherwise, she's not playing anything crazy demanding. Minecraft, Stardew Valley, TF2, and some Skyrim. She doesn't play anything too demanding but I'd like to future-proof her for a while and with 1000 bucks I can do a lot

Yea, I'm aware of the limited selection but luckily I have a bit of time so hopefully the stock rebounds in the coming months

Doesn't really matter in this build, a 1050ti will do the job for the games his sister is playing.
