Ok, so I feel i'm getting to an age where I enjoy modding PC's more than playing games. However, every now and again I play something that I really enjoy. Most recently that was Dragon Age Inquisition. I've had this game since release and before now I never got more than around an hour into it before putting it down. However I played it a few hours per day over the last week and cleared the last part of the game. Ok there's still some Dragon's left but it seems pointless to carry on now. I looked at the DLC and it seems PRICEY for a few quests, around £50 in total???

So with that in mind, what other games are out there a little like DA:I?

I have a bit of a catalogue, for some reason I can't get back into the Witcher 3, it feels kinda clumsy since I revisited it (I was around 40 hours in and wiped all my drives when I upgraded to Ryzen - purposefully)

Play Amnesia: The Dark Descent, and I understand you, I also have almost no interest in the majority of games because I feel they are meh, and the few good ones I just keep saving for later xD

myself I have only started Tomb Raider 2013 this past weekend...

I also see you haven't played Bioshock? it is extremely worth it, the 1 & 2 are solid games and infinite was a master piece.

42 FPS on ultra lol, probably one of a few games that actually utilises the Ryzen cores! 50 FPS usually on 1440P :/

I can recommend:

Penumbra series and Amnesia: The Dark Descent (Machine of Pigs is good, but too short) and Amnesia also has a bunch of custom maps that are equal parts scary (White Night and community-favorite The Great Work) and goofy (like running from Pedobear and PBJ-time Banana? What?!).

A Nighttime Visitor is a free indie project that has you playing Marco Polo with an entity that is presumably "going to get you". https://raincoil.itch.io/nighttime-visitor

Spoiler

Insert X reference here.

Darkest Dungeon is a permadeath class-driven TBS game. It has earned high marks in the Steam and strategy communities for being unforgiving to those who would fight when fleeing is the better choice and those who would stay in a dungeon when their heroes are stressed. Definitely a good choice for those who are new to the genre as it forgives just as easily as it pummels your heart into darkness (or at least it does with a smile...). :)

Following the death theme, Dark Souls series is a good choice if you're looking to punish yourself for mistakes you've made. Fighting a demon on a mile-high scaffold? No worries, just dodge-roll his attack and... you fell to your death... Meet a new boss? Just attack like you always do, right? ...

Spoiler

Works great until you have to fight those two...

... Gameplay is harrowing and deaths come with the cost of your humanity (the game's and your own). Story, settings, and enemy types are varied and force you to manage your strategy against groups at any moment.

If you like 8-bit RPG's, LISA has you covered. It contains dark humor, regular humor, and a fish lawyer who asks you to join his law firm, but he joins your party instead... Everything about the game is good. Music, settings, and gameplay are all done by one man and he does so brilliantly. There's also LISA: The Joyful as a DLC pack. It's a bit shorter, but plays a bit differently and is a bit more serious when it comes to its lead character and their journey.

SOMA is another atmospheric horror. No combat meaning you have to skirt by monsters undetected (luckily you only face two once in the game). The story changes a bit towards the end depending on your choices. Highly recommended if you end up liking Amnesia as the developers are the same.
