I just completed my first build and I thought everything was running fine. I ran Prime95, Furmark, and I updated all drivers/bios, but roughly every 30 minutes my computer completely dies. After trying several things like reattaching cables and trying different outlets I get the same result. Do you think my PSU is dying? Should I RMA it? Do you think that there might be another cause? I'm getting desperate.

running Prime95 on Haswell is not a good idea use OCCT or Aida64 to stress test there is a slim chance you damaged something either that or it is indeed the PSU RMA it

Utter rubbish you wont damage anything running Prime95. If anything due to Intels HT you should run two copy's of Prime95 to fully stress it. Prime95 will stop work on a thread that fails its calculations before damaged is caused. the more likely thing to happen is for the PSU to cause the damage.

Take everything out the case and strip it down to bare minimum. so no GPU, 1 RAM DIMM populated (just the absolute bones for it to function) see if you crash/ turn off then.

Haswell is known to have issues with Prime95... and did damage some users cpus in the past but its most likely a psu problem its a very slim chance any damage is done

i know i am a AMD fan, and this is a unfair statement  but i have to say that

i will "never" buy a cpu that can not handle a two hours of prime95

i hope they fix that

let's focus on your problem and how we can fix it

i guess that this happen not only on stress run, and also on non stress run (the normal use of the pc)

you can check the bios (without change anything) to make sure that nothing rare is on

(to enter the bios press supr when you power on the pc)

(check the ram speeds if they are good just in case)
