Hey all, I have a few questions about the feasibility of playing CSGO on my MBP but ill explain my situation first. I'm out of state for the summer and I'll be back to playing on my desktop when I get back in September. Until then, I have my Mid 2015 MBP 15" with a R9 M370X 2GB. I have a few other games on here that by no means rely on having a solid ping etc. However, I miss playing FPS games (R6S). CSGO isn't that big of a file so I feel comfortable putting it on my laptop due to the fact that I only have a 256gb SSD. So now come the questions, and please note I'm not trying to have an insane gaming experience on my laptop. I understand the limitations and also understand the claims that many CSGO players make about needing extremely high fps etc.

If I have a solid wireless internet connection will the game be enjoyable to play? Wired isn't an option.

Will the R9 be enough to give me smooth frame rates?

Overall, do you think that I'm capable of having a fairly good CSGO gaming experience on my MBP?

Any input is appreciated, thanks!

Thanks for the response. I kind of figured I would be alright. But because of everything I hear from hardcore CSGO players it made me second guess myself.

are you playing competive, if not its more than engogh. My 2012 macbook air can play it at full res at about 50-60fps which is fine for my casual play.

No just casual, if I enjoy it I'll take it more seriously when I'm back on my full setup in the fall.
