Finally a ryzen build with faster ram. However if getting the quad core and they're fine with OCing it themselves get the 1400, it's the same chip, the 1500x just has a factory OC, then you can get a 1080 in there, and I'd get a different board, don't like asrock because they break on me... if you could also figure out getting a 1600 it'll be a top of the line machine

Wouldn't a 1500x bottleneck a 1070? Isn't there too much graphics power and not much processor?

CPU - i7-4790k

GPU - MSI 980 Ti

Mobo - MSI Z97 Gaming 5

Memory - 32 GB DDR3

Storage - 3.4 TB

The specification of the CPU is the same as the i7 7700K, and 7700K can handle GTX 1080 even though with little bottleneck. It is fine! And do note that there is the 650W variant that is cheaper $2 in my latest sight on the price

Not really. It's a 3.5GHz (you can OC to at least 3.7-3.8) 4c/8t CPU, and should be a solid performer, especially in multithreaded games. If you could bump up your budget and get a R5 1600, that'd be even better.
