Hey Guys,Austin Here....

Ok..

Hey Guys,I have changed my setup a little bit (How would u ever know i changed something since i never showed a picture of my previous setup,xD )
I'm using my laptop to replace my desktop temporarily (sort of,i still have my desktop) Since it has more horsepower than my computer (lets bring the power of the horses)

Now i've made it a desktop like setup since one of my hinges on my laptop is shot, when i upload a picture,u'll get to know how/why

List of stuff:

acer TravelMate P643-V Core i5 3rd Generation laptop

DELL SE198WFP 19' Inch 1440x900 resolution monitor (with some dead/stuck pixels,but at edges,so fine)

JBL Pro Speakers (from 1998-1999,still sound nice when on specific sound levels)

Cooler Master M/N NotePal L1 Laptop Cooler (probably the most worth thing in the entire setup)

Windows 7

I have a lot of problems with the laptop and some serious ones in it,which im upto fixing (serious;eg:Broken hinge (total destruction)) so i use my Dell SE198WFP 1440x900,and man,it looks much better than the internal panel of the laptop (like a huge improvement, and has more better depth),as if it was designed for it)

I'm currently onto playing old games,at high res, etc, and have finished my 2 best old racing classics for me(best old classics for me) which have atleast some good graphics (NFS MW 2005,and NFSC (Nfs carbon) and loved it,finished both the games

I'm soon gonna pull out my SSD from my old laptop and put it in this and install Windows 10!

Anything to say about the setup (Once i clean it up and take a picture of it,xD,what do u think about what i just said, not showed? xD )

That's why quoting is used in the forum. If someone quotes you, it means that they are talking to you and you get a notification that someone is talking to you. It does not have to be in 'your' specific thread to get answers. :)

Plus, it may be a 4 year old topic but it's a PINNED TOPIC therefore it is constantly active :P

Yeah, that is why I made this thread,

1.Is there anything I can make the setup cleaner

2.If I can improve something about this setup for like $1-4

3.The monitor has some dead/stuck pixels at the very corners, can i fix them

4.These speakers sounds pretty bad when in the middle volume levels

5.Any other Recommendation/Suggestion

6.How does my setup look like

6.How does my setup look like

1. Manage the cables and cords in and around the desk. Maybe put that desktop down on the floor and make more room on the desk. If you have 2 of those speakers, position them one on each side (make sure the left and right are correct) and move them to the rear of the desk.

2. That's tough. Not sure what you could do for that kind of money. Maybe just a mouse pad?

3. Unfortunately, no. Only way to fix dead pixels is to replace the panel. You might be able to find a similar used monitor for pretty cheap though. not long ago I picked up a 19" 1440x900 samsung monitor for only $15. It had no dead pixels, good image quality (after a few adjustments) and cleaned up really well. If you have thrift stores or used hardware stores around, that's where I'd look.

4. Try keeping the volume on the speakers set at about 75% and adjust volume through the laptop. See if that helps.

5. I would take a closer look at that desktop PC you have there. I would maybe look into building that into a budget gaming PC. Take it apart and learn how it works, take a closer look at each part. Keep the case and the HDD. Paint the case to make it look cool. I know you're young, but if you can, save up some money and you could build that into a nice custom gaming rig for pretty cheap.

6. Setup looks like you could rearrange some things to make it easier to use (see answer to question 1). ;)
