Hi, not sure if this is in the right place or not, anyway over a year ago I bought a windows 10 pro key and installer and activated it and had no issues. In January I decided to make  a hackintosh and then got rid of windows. A week ago I gave the key and installer to my mate. Would he be able to use it with out my Microsoft account, will he run in to activation issues? And out of curiosity how many computers can I use the same key on? Thanks :)

Windows 10 keys are stored on a system's motherboard.

However yes, you can give him the product key but only 1 system can be activated at a time so your machine will be deactived should you install windows 10 on it again

Have you tried turning it off and on again?
