Best CPU Cooler to buy

Is the CPU cooler on my list the right one to buy or is there a better one? I could use all the advice I can get.

For that CPU you could go two ways, you could get a Noctua NH-D15 air cooler or Corsair H100i 240MM AIO liquid cooler.

I would get Dark Rock Pro 3 as they look less ugly or a Cryorig R1 instead. DH 15 is nice but the noctua brown makes it really off with that build. Other options also an AIO cooler

212 Evo is for budget build and isn't good performing

Ryzen 7 1700 + Kraken X62,  or Dark Rock Pro 3 or Cryorig R1 because DH-15 ugly as fuck

Don't forget to check your RAM clearance when choosing a CPU cooler.

Only In certain work loads, otherwise the 7700k has the better core clock speeds.

 

I don't recommend Ryzen for everyone. it's a case by case basis.

if you are gaming, yes 7700k.

 

you are very unlikely to use all those cores on ryzen.

Ever compared the multithreaded performance of a ryzen 7 with the multithreaded performance fo a 4C/8T i7?

I don't want to start an argument. I want to say that the i7 7700K and the R7 1700 both have their usecases. For what I'm doing with my PC Ryzen was an easy choice. But there isn't a "one CPU fits for all" CPU at the moment in the 300-350$ price range.

I just added the cryorig 01 to my parts list. My corsair vengeance memory should have enough room with this CPU cooler.

you have to keep that in mind ALWAYS. cannons and mosquitos and all that.

im talking about gaming, almost all other workloads benefit more from cores than clocks
