They are both 100%

100% from the start? If so, idk what is it, maybe there is an air pocket in the thermal paste

So I have a custom loop that I made myself but the problem is the temps are high while gaming it hits around 60-70 Celsius on a Ryzen 7 5700x. The cpu is not even over clocked so it’s just 65 watts. Its idle temp is 50 Celsius which is also high. The specs of the custom is a Corsair XR5 240mm rad a Corsair hydro x xc7 water block and this pump Yosoo SC-300T DC 12V Ultra-Quiet Water Cooling Pump 4W Reservoir max.300L/h for PC CPU Liquid Cooling System. The liquid is also Corsair also for the thermal paste. Ambient temperature is 22 Celsius for my room. I posted a picture below. I have tried everything from changing pump speed to fan speed and bought more fans. image.thumb.jpg.bcfb2d7ffe9a7a7aaa61e4e3bbba2e62.jpg

70 degrees max seems fine to me, considering its just a 240mm loop. The idle temp seems high, but it's not the cooling's fault, but whatever you have running in the background

When it idles at 50c I usllay don’t have anything running and I’ve seen other 240 running better than this. Could it be the pump?

Nothing, as how much nothing? What startup apps do you have, and how much cpu is used at idle?

So it seems like there are little pockets of air it looks like when i was adding the thermal paste I didn’t add enough paste or not enough pressure. I’ll repaste it and give you the results.

Seems the cooler wasn't fully screwed and didn't make good contact, the paste seems not much "crushed"/spread
