For gaming and streaming

im upgrading from i5 4690k

twitch streaming and playing games at 1440p 100hz

using a 1080 ti.

 

thanks for advice.

 

also what would be recommended speed to upload 1080p/1440p 60fps

the 1700X is 50$ more not not much more than a clock boost, that can be beaten with an oc

1700. The 1700X is just a factory overclocked 1700.

13000kbps upload for 1080p/60fps with Veryfast Encoding.

Save $30 with the 1700. If you want the extra 400MHz the 1700X has by default, just overclock it a little.

they all easily overclock to 3.9 and maybe even 4.0GHz
