Hi, I want to know if the evga 600b could be a good choice for my setup.

Asus Prime B350 plus

Ryzen 7 1700

2x8 Corsair Lpx Vengance

Msi gtx 960 2Gb

It would be good enough however I would recommend getting something like a seasonic s12 ii 620w power supply. Should be the same price but is of much better quality.

It's a mediocre PSU. If you can afford a R7 1700 (not sure why you'd pair a GTX 960 with it), you can afford a decent unit such as the Corsair CX450M or SeaSonic S12II.

Be nice to each other boys and girls. And don't cheap out on a power supply.

Can I ask why a GTX 960 with an R7 1700?

Anyways, an EVGA 600B would be fine for your system but if you plan on upgrading the GPU (if you're doing gaming then I certainly hope so) then I'd grab something like an EVGA B3/Corsair CXM/Seasonic S12 or M12.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

Not really any better. Check the PSU tier list in my signature and grab something at least tier 3 when you upgrade the GPU.

Are the Seasonic M12 PSUs still made?   I was curious so I searched for the S12 and M12 PSUs on Newwgg and I found one S12 PSU (gold rated I think) but when I searched for seasonic M12 the only results that came up all said out of stock and they all just said 80+ rated so not even bronze.  I thought that lacking even a bronze rating would be odd for a high quality brand like seasonic.

The M12 has only ever been Bronze rated

I mean the ones I found weren't bronze rated:

https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151031&cm_re=Seasonic_M12-_-17-151-031-_-Product

Like that one.

I guess seasonic must have released an improved M12 line of PSUs the M12II that are bronze rated:

https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151095

When I searched for "Seasonic M12" on newegg only PSUs like the first link came up.

But when I did a Google search for the same terms then I found a newegg result for the M12II PSU in the second link.

Idk if Newegg's search feature sucks but it might help when suggesting this PSU to mention it's now M12II instead of M12.

Just trying to be helpful by pointing this issue out to you.  ?

Hmm, I guess those are the much older revisions.

Newegg's search does suck sometimes though
