You should be fine without one. I built my computer on carpet without a static strap (although that's probably not very smart, so don't push it).

Building a new PC tomorrow and don't have a static strap whats the best way to make sure I don't fuck up my build (New builder)

Connect your PSU to the mains, and touch it a lot, it should be earthed so it'll do the same thing as an anti static band, You don't need it to be turned on for this to work, but watch out if it's painted, that might not help. Make sure it's earthed, and also don't build on carpet or while wearing synthetic clothes, making sure to try to avoid really dry air, more humid it better at stopping static buildup, but really you should be fine.

The best advise of all then is just don't touch it too much, no kissing, fondling, playing below the belt, definitely don't touch the gold parts.

You should be perfectly fine, then.

You should be fine, make sure not to wear clothes that are prone to cause static electricity and touch the PSU or case often.

Never had a wrist strap and I'm inside PCs almost daily.

Basically don't fondle your mobo, cpu, gpu, and ram. I never wore 1, and was fine building mine. Then again we were on tile, so very little static to begin with.

If you are worried, a way is to plug-in your psu and touch it periodically to ground yourself.

Depends what your flooring is though, carpet can be static-y, tile and wood, your fine.

I personally don't have a anti-static wristband, but my bedroom is a hardwood floor, and the desk surface is a wooden table. As long as you're grounding yourself by touching the metal part of your case or power supply, you should be okay. If you're ever in doubt, just touch the case or PSU before or after installing a part, or do it before and after you install a part. Doesn't hurt to be too safe as these builds can get really expensive if you have to replace a part half-way in.

"The only thing that matters right now is that you're here, and you're safe."
