Laptops with MX150 GPU (GT 1030) spotted

Laptops with the newest Nvidia MX150 GPU were spotted at Malaysia local tech store, TechHyperMart.

These laptops are Acer Aspire 5:

However, it seems like they are not ready to be sold, only for pre-orders since they couldn't be found at other online stores.

Considering their low price and slightly more powerful than the older 950M, it seems like MX150 is a great option for those who wants a laptop with a good GPU but can't afford much.

Assuming its a fully fledged 1030, thats about as good if not a bit better than my last gen 960M

This will turn into the GPU that companies shove in all the $500-$600 15.6" Laptop and before you know it it's one of the most abundant GPU's on the steam hardware survey because of everyone playing free games and indies on it.

wonder if it will be a good replacement for my 2012 15" MacBook Pro with dGPU (once i replace Windows with a Fedora/Solus or Hackintosh it if there's a thread on tonyx86 for this laptop and it's a no issues case)

Isn't the MX150 a graphics chip?

Rumors suggest that Ryzen mobile will be 4 threads with SMT, but it only said that the bundled Vega based IGPU will probably eliminate the need for lower end dedicated GPUs.

Not sure if it's referring to something like the 940MX or actually hinting at the MX150.
