Current setup:

  • AMD FX-6300 (stock speed, temps are good)
  • ASRock 970M Pro3
  • GTX 960 4GB MSI (stock speed, temps are good)
  • 250GB HDD 5900rpm (Games, programs, media, used to be main drive)
  • 128GB SSD Intenso (100% fresh installation of Windows 10 Home 64bit)
  • 2x8GB Corsair Vengeance

The PC freezes completely when playing games (no BSOD), but I had it happen once that it froze when I was doing nothing.

Any ideas what could cause this issue?

check your hdd life and performance via hdd sentinel... maybe bad sectors are now present on your drive..

or have you uninstall windows/clean up that drive after installing windows in the ssd?

Installed Windows 10 Home 64bit via boot-menu from a usb stick, formatted the drive completely before that.

we are talking with the HARD DISK here right.. have you checked it's performance and health?

Sorry for the late answer, I was a bit busy in this week.

I said that windows is on the SSD. HDD only used for storage, but I checked and the health is fine. Might be a system/software issue, so I'm gonna switch back to the hdd only.
