DBAN ?

so i just wiped a hard drive totally clean using dban, but now the windows files will not boot up. what do i need to do to fix this?

reinstall windows.

i am trying. but the screen stays black, and it says reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key

how did  you make the windows USB?

 

did you pick the uefi option?

And you are booting from the DVD, not the HDD, correct?

Go to the boot menu to make sure you are booting from it and not the HDD

how do i get to the boot menu? seems like i half remember doing that back in xp. but that was a long time ago.

Normally F12 or F10, sometimes ESC

i guess it does not matter. the hard drive is junk. 11 months old and i ruined it by running dban. crap.
