Mic for the ATH-M50?

I am looking at the Audio Technica ATH-M50 for Christmas. What microphone under $50 could I use with this headset in a gaming situation?

My Build Log on PCPartPicker FX-6300, ASUS M5A78L-M/USB3, MSI 7870 GHz Edition, Corsair Vengeance LP 1x8GB, 1TB WD Blue, Fractal Core 1000 USB 3.0, Corsair CX600, and my most recent addition that I've had forever and isnt new is a 80GB WD800 for Linux, Lenovo ThinkPad X131e, ASUS Transformer TF300T, Galaxy Note 3 Sister dropped it in a puddle I now have to use a Samsung Brightside, Beyerdynamic DT990 Pro 250ohm version, Blue Yeti  #TheRealKEH-JEFF | "Sometimes, if were lucky, in Australia, a family has 2 kangaroos to pick up the kids with" - marto | Your entry here | Remember kids; just because Linus has a video on it, doesn't mean that its the best choice | ts3.wferr.com the best TeamSpeak | Abide by the CoC | Looking for build help? It probably isn't, but will it be plug and play like how it was with the pair of turtle beach x12's that i have?

No snowball, get the snowflake.

What is the difference? Slick uses a snowball on the giveaways, and he sounds fine.

if you get a m50, the m50 will plug into your headphone jack. The Zalman/modmic plugs into your microphone jack. The blue snowball will plug into the usb port. If your asking if you could talk and listen with a m50 by itself, No it can't. However if you buy a external mic like a zalman or modmic it can. Same goes with the blue snowball just plug it in usb port

If your asking if you could talk and listen with a m50 by itself, No it can't. However if you buy a external mic like a zalman or modmic it can. Same goes with the blue snowball just plug it in usb port

According to mayflowerelectronic blue snowball are for recording, so he recommends the snowflake, which you could say pretty similar quality.

It's half the price and not as big/bulky and ugly. Sound quality is more than what you'll need so it's fine.
