Wow, thanks for the lightning fast reply! Is it possible to stop using ram caching? If so, how?

its a option in that samgsung software you have open, look at a rapid settings.

Hi, this is my first post on a forum post of any kind so I apologize for any mistakes. I had installed a 1 TB Samsung 840 Evo into my laptop approximately two years ago, and benchmarks are kind of all over the place. The 840 Evo is advertised to get up to 540 MB/s read speeds, and up to 520 MB/s write speeds according to Samsung's Website. Is there something I should be worried about or just enjoy?

You proablby using ramcaching in the software, it does make it look faster, but its a great way to lose data if you have a power loss or bad memory.
