The Pro-ject Essential line-up is pretty tried and tested at this point. Their really good turntables, but kinda scrapped when it comes to features.

The House of Marley tunrtable looks intersting. I know I've seen the chassis before, but I'm just not sure where.

Google wasn't really keen on telling me who the OEM is.

Where the House of Marley turntable might be handy is with its build in pre-amp and the switch controlled speed control.

In a livingroom setting that is a pretty nice feature to have.

The House of Marley has significant QC and build problems, mainly motor issues causing speed instability.  I'd strongly recommend going with the Pro-Ject Essential.
