anything older than skylake will work

How do Reavers clean their spears?

|Specs in profile|

The Wheel of Time turns, and Ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth comes again.

anything in the core series should be fine, skylake and kaby lake may not work as desired so anything before them, should give you a nice list to work with. Or since it's for old games you could get one of the better fx processors, I hear they're dirt cheap these days xD

you might be lucky with an i7 2600. i cant imangine that they dont cost too much these days. how much do you plan to spend

In my country pc parts are overpriced, and also people sell their i7 2600/3770/4770 for 250$ so an i3 is ideal. Plus older games doesn't require 4cores. I need a low power consumption thats why i want an i3

For XP it's lga 1156/1366 for native ahci support.

Lga 1155/2011 for ide compatible mode.

Above doesn't matter if you have SATA pcie card with XP drivers.

With anything past c600 (X79 for Xeon), you risk not having drivers for most of the stuff onboard.

CPU : Core i7 6950X @ 4.26 GHz + Hydronaut + TRVX + 2x Delta 38mm PWM
MB : Gigabyte X99 SOC (BIOS F23c)
RAM : 4x Patriot Viper Steel 4000MHz CL16 @ 3042MHz CL12.12.12.24 CR2T @1.48V.
GPU : Titan Xp Collector's Edition (Empire)
M.2/HDD : Samsung SM961 256GB (NVMe/OS) + + 3x HGST Ultrastar 7K6000 6TB
DAC : Motu M4 + Audio Technica ATH-A900Z
PSU: Seasonic X-760 || CASE : Fractal Meshify 2 XL || OS : Win 10 Pro x64

i see ur problem i guess there VAT etc. i wouldn't build something new outright and keep my eyes peeled for an oem pc like a dell optiplex see if your local pc shop has collected pcs for recycling (sometimes they get good swag) and just ask around . some people just have them laying around at home

Well 80% of my friends doesn't know what a cpu is but they buy s8 just because the screen is large so this isn't a solution
