Im building a pc for a friend and I was going to get him a ryzen 5 1400 with a gtx 1060 6 gb, but now, since he wants to play battlefront high - max settings at 1080p, I was thinking the safer bet was getting a ryzen 5 1600 with an 8 gb rx 580. Im pretty sure itll be able to run it smoothly maxed out above 60 especially with a good overclock, im just wondering if anyone has a differing opinion or that it maybe just wont run. Any second opinion would be appreciated.

it will work fine with a 1060 6GB - max/very high settings no problem.

the Ryzen 1600 isn't needed for gaming right now, but it's more futureproof. - RX 580 8GB is better than the 1060 6GB, but not by a ton, so both will be able to run ultra settings 60FPS at 1080p

That will more than crush Battlefront 2

the 1060 6GB is only slightly worse than the 580, either card will work. Get whichever is available and or cheaper.

AMD cards are in high demand.
