Which would be a better upgrade

I'm looking at either buying an Athlon II X3 455 or a Radeon HD 7750. Which would be better for my system? I'm leaning towards the CPU, since my Sempron will probably bottleneck the crap out of a 7750, but I'd like to know your feedback anyway.

My mom would buy it. I don't have a job just yet (still waiting for the damn place to open). So I wouldn't care. Besides, she owes me about 12,500 dollars (based on the original agreement of $350 a month for me and my sister, and it's been about 7 years). So it's the least she could do.
