Doing light steaming and heavy gaming

Want to stream as well as play pretty much every game at 144 fps on max or near max for the next few years. Would like to stay around the 2100-2200 usd range if parts need to be switched around. I am aware of the sk hynix and i would prefer the 850 evo over that ssd. Also the cpu cooler i am flexible on switching to the NH-D15 as well. If an AIO is leaps and bounds better i have done research on the h115i and thats what i would go for iin the air coolers place. remember the tempered glass side panel so any parts that are suggested please try to stick to a black and white color pallet. Thanks for any help that you can offer! <3

That 1080ti is overkill for 1080p. Id pay extra for a 1440p monitor.

Gaming build:

CPU: i7-7700k (5.0ghz, 1.312v)

GPU(s): Asus Strix 1080ti OC (~2063mhz)

Memory: 32GB (4x8) DDR4 G.Skill TridentZ RGB 3000mhz

Motherboard: Asus Prime z270-AR

PSU: Seasonic Prime Titanium 850W

Cooler: Custom water loop (420mm rad + 360mm rad)

Case: Be quiet! Dark base pro 900 (silver)
Primary storage: Samsung 960 evo m.2 SSD (500gb)

Secondary storage: Samsung 850 evo SSD (250gb)

Server build:

OS: Ubuntu server 16.04 LTS (though will probably upgrade to 17.04 for better ryzen support)

CPU: Ryzen R7 1700x

Memory: Ballistix Sport LT 16GB

Motherboard: Asrock B350 m4 pro

PSU: Corsair CX550M

Cooler: Cooler master hyper 212 evo

Storage: 2TB WD Red x1, 128gb OCZ SSD for OS

Case: HAF 932 adv

1440p 144Hz or 4K monitor please

Taichi is good, get faster RAM

Get a Phanteks P400S TG, there's a sexy white/black version. Includes an RGB strip, front RGB led, and top fan covers & filters. Plus you get the sweet Phanteks screw box IIRC.

If the AM4 bracket is out get a Dark Rock Pro 3 instead of a Noctua - similar performance, thermals, and volume but not ugly AF.

But it's $200. Could put another ~$50 towards a better monitor with a mid-range board unless they are looking for a specific board feature.

Find some way to shave off some $$$.

You're gonna be running Ryzen with a good B-Die kit as fast as the chipset allows. Any higher and it flips the fuck out iirc.

Hynix kits (like the Corsair LPX) cap out at 3200Mhz, no matter how much mV you throw into it.

idk

depends on the game. I currently get about 150-200 fps in Doom with settings cranked at 1440p (200fps is the games fps cap), but games like pubg (which is horribly optimized) dips in the 100-120 range because it bottlenecks on the cpu pretty hard. so for games with decent engines, it will be more than enough.

the 1080ti is very much overkill for 1080p gaming, and I'd either step down to a 1080 to save some money or go up to a high refresh 1440p monitor (ideally with gsync).

I haven't really been looking at monitors recently, since I don't plan on getting one until high refresh 4k screens hit the market (once you go 144fps you never go back). For a 1440p 144hz monitor with gsync you're looking at the $600 ballpark right now I believe, so don't think you need to go for those crazy $800+ screens to get those features unless you NEED an ips panel or something.

not too sure, it'd be worth to check the spreader height

and the AOC monitor isn't bad quality, but if you want a higher end monitor you could drop an extra $79 on the Acer Predator XB1 - 1440p 165hz G-Sync

and there's a 24" dell with Gsync for $399 as well

idk

No that's wrong. It's actually the Asrock Professional Gaming (unless you hate the fact that it has red stuff). :P

The Pro Gaming is actually just a Taichi with different colors and some extra features like 5 gig LAN and power and reset buttons on the board. That's about it.

So naturally it's "technically" better, though really the differences are pretty small and you get stuck with red.

Yeah I mentioned I'm too lazy earlier in a different topic :P

Make sure to quote me or tag me when responding to me, or I might not know you replied! Examples:

Do this:

And make sure you do it by hitting the quote button at the bottom left of my post, and not the one inside the editor!

Or this:

@DocSwag

Buy whatever product is best for you, not what product is "best" for the market.

Interested in computer architecture? Still in middle or high school? P.M. me!

I love computer hardware and feel free to ask me anything about that (or phones). I especially like SSDs. But please do not ask me anything about Networking, programming, command line stuff, or any relatively hard software stuff. I know next to nothing about that.

not too sure, it'd be worth to check the spreader height

and the AOC monitor isn't bad quality, but if you want a higher end monitor you could drop an extra $79 on the Acer Predator XB1 - 1440p 165hz G-Sync

and there's a 24" dell with Gsync for $399 as well

What acre predator are you talking about? I don't see one for the 480 range??
