Hi, last week i built my computer, it takes me around a minute to boot the computer up to the windows log in screen, i understand this is pretty short, but i found out that my friend with a worse system than me takes only 10 sec.

Could someone explain to me why this is the case, what I can do to fix it and what kind of load time would be expected of my system.

 My system=========

It was a joke. all sata ports on ryzen are Sata 3, go to task manager and go to the "Startup" tab and turn off anything you don't want/need at boot.

(Ikr, the SSD on my laptop takes like 2-4 seconds from a fresh install, I don't even get to see the spinning dots. :( ) and my other laptop with a 5400rpm hdd loads in like 14 seconds.

What do you see on your screen while it's loading? Sounds like it's struggling to POST.

I edit my posts a lot.

If its before windows even starts to load, then something seems off. Like, before windows, after Bios? Could you like upload a video to youtube to show us or something?

Then Idk what to tell you for that, it seems pretty optimized there. lol but It doesn't seem like windows/yourssd is to blame here.

Can you try

Resetting the BIOS/CMOS will put things to default, trying using the mobo outputs to the monitor, then go into BIOS and change the Primary graphics display to PEG/PCI-E. Shutdown and swap the video cable back to the GPU

Or

1) Turned off and unplugged computer.
2) Took out GPU.
3) Reset BIOS/CMOS.
4) Plugged monitor into motherboard output.
5) Started computer. Got into BIOS settings and changed primary graphics display to PEG.
6) Upgraded BIOS (never had before).
7) After a series of resets, reconnected the GPU and monitor.

Take it out of the Pcie slot. But wait, I forgot, Ryzen doesnt have onboard gfx, so fuck that bit, just do the rest w/o doing that.

Basically, try resetting the cmos, and doing a few tricks in the bios. (If you know any, assuming you do. (I probably shouldnt))

However much force you need to take it out, just dont break or chip and pcb's

Yeah, it'll still work, if you cant hit the cmos button, then unplug it, try cycling the power, then take the battery out if thats easier.
