Ryzen Memory compatibility

Guys I need to ask  a question,

So Im thinking on buying  the B350 Tomahawk for the r5 1600. And the problem is ill be, starting with 8 gbs(2X4) to upgrade after to 16, my question is with all the compatibility issues can you guys just point me on the best to buy? Because right now im having Exams and really dont have the time to search it up.

Buy Corsair Vengance LPX. Higher clocked memory is worth it for Ryzen.

maybe you should wait until all your exams are finished ;)

 

just check the QVL for the motherboard, and find ones that passed 3200mhz. or buy Ryzen-certified G. skill memory (you will pay a premium)

Personally I would buy a single 8 GB stick since with 2 4GB sticks you don't have any room for further expansion after getting additional 2 sticks. 4x4 will work but on some ryzen motherboards this configuration isn't ideal I think.

Actually, I would go with the cheapest 3000/3200. Or with 8GB that great value 2800 kit. Team/G Skill/Corsair/Kingston would be acceptable.

ryzen is finnicky as all hell about ram, vengance lpx has a pretty good track record with ryzen though

i've been trying to find more info on running 4 dimms on ryzen but there's barely any info on it anywhere. Reallly curious if they are able to run 4 sticks around 3200 mhz now
