As long as you don't need to be able to stay away from an outlet for more than 3-4 hours at a time, it should be fine. Also take into consideration how much you'll carry it around. If you're going into an Engineering major (Or any other that uses copious amounts of CAD or computational work), then these will be great. If you're not, then these will be good for gaming on your downtime.

that'll run pretty much anything you want, and it doesn't exactly have that "gaming laptop" look to it, so you could probably bring it into uni classes without gettn the stink eye.

Thermals aren't great, but not the worst. Asus support is pretty bad.

Blade has awful QC, the VRMs have issues (or some other electrical problem), and it gets pretty loud from what I hear.
