I know but I came here asking for help and I just end up getting roasted. Also, Minecraft is amazing I played it a few hours ago lol. My friends and I haven't played it for over a year and we were bored and started playing

We joke around on the forum all the time, don't take it personally.

 

Displayport 1.4 will do 4k 144Hz, but apparently there needs to be some Display Stream Compression https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DisplayPort

Your 1080 is DP1.4, and I assume your monitor is too if it is 4k 144Hz, so just get a good quality cable for DP1.4

Also get ready to turn down settings a lot in the games you play.
