So I recently bought a View sonic 165 hz monitor for my new rig. The first thing I noticed when it arrived were boot prints on the box, and because the company wraps product before postage I know it happened in there warehouse.

The screen is great but when I hooked it up I found a stuck red pixel. I tried every fix I knew with no luck :(.

I arranged with the company PC Case Gear to send it back to there shop. They paid for postage I sent photos of the pixel and they were unable to locate said pixel.

They sent me an email saying we cannot find the stuck pixel and that maybe it unstuck it self during transit and asked if I want it back or send to distributor.

At this point I am furious as I wanted my monitor on day of arrival now I'm waiting even longer. :(

I responded by saying yes send it away as a I don't want to pay for a $800+ and have a fault with it.

Am I at liberty to ask for a refund or a replacement at this point? I have resent them photos of pixel and how to locate it as well and awaiting a response.

What do you guys think?

Can you see the stuck pixel from these photos its a little hard to see but it is there circled in blue.

Also see boot prints :P

If the store you purchased it from has a basically "return for any reason" policy, then go ahead and ask for a refund or whatever if you require absolutely zero pixel defects. Otherwise you may be stuck with it or you'll be given a replacement.

I hope im not stuck with it...... its right in the center, sigh

You usually have the right to cancel purchase within 14 Days and ask for a refund. They are saying nothing is wrong with it so they dont really have a reason not to take it back

Depends on how customer protection is in there. In EU its 14 days no questions asked policy for all products which are resell condition (excluding stuff like batteries and such ofc). Some stores like Ikea have extended return policies like 30-90 days.

As for manufacturers, displays tend to have dead pixel policy. But I think you need to have at least 5-10 to get it.
