I've planned to build a Gaming PC, but all the parts that I mostly want total up to be $1,000+ I'm trying to see if I can build a PC with only an Intel Core 'i-Series' CPU and a 'NVIDIA GeForce GTX' GPU and also I'm trying to see if it can be under $1,000 or even $700. Can somebody please help me? Thanks.

My PC Specs

CPU: Intel Core i5-7500

Motherboard: Gigabyte Z270X-UD3

RAM: Patriot Viper Elite Series DDR4 8GB (2 x 4GB) 2133MHz

GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 1050 OC

Case: NZXT S340 (White)

Storage: Western Digital - Caviar Green 500GB 3.5" 5400RPM Internal Hard Drive

PSU: Corsair CX 750

Cooling: Intel Stock Cooler

Keyboard: Razer Ornata Chroma

Mouse: Logitech MX Master

Operating System: Windows 10 Pro

Is there a reason you only want an Intel CPU?

If not the Ryzen chips have better performance.

The reason is that I personally think that Intel is better for PC Gaming and I personally trust that lineup of CPU's. But, thanks for telling me a bit more about the AMD Ryzen chips.

Well, at the moment in your price range the AMD chips are better.

And if the RX580s are in stock that would be better.

Well actually, the i5 is actually SLIGHTLY faster, and the R5 is slower. At least in gaming. But AM4 still has 4 years of life while LGA1151 pretty much has 3 months to live. If you plan to upgrade anytime in the next 4 years or want to do multithreaded tasks, go red, otherwise go blue.

You already answered yourself with that line. Better 'futureproofness' with DX12.

My bad, go for the 1060 then. Though he should check if there are any available in his area.
