Good sell price?

What's a good sell price for an i5 6500? What would you guys pay if you were to buy one? I know Ryzen is a thing now, but they are still decent CPUs, think I can get 150 for it?

True, but what if they don't need extra threads for anything? Wouldn't they be tempted to buy the i5 for the higher icp? Or is the 1400 all around better then the 6500? I haven't watched benchmarks.

1400 is better overall cuz u can also oc it. On mobile atm but some one should link bench results

Good point yea, ok well if it doesn't sell for 150 over the weekend ill def lower it a bit. I'm not rushing to sell it (except to meet the steam sales lel) so I can wait and hope.

Have one, forgot to change signature. My buddy gave me his i7 6700 free all I gotta do is pay him back the 15.06 to two-day it to me.

I also want to upgrade to smt like a xeon 1231v3 since i do video editing as a hobby, can't justify to spend few hundred CAD on it though

That's pretty much what I would be willing to pay for that CPU if I already had build with 1151 motherboard and everything.

It's locked CPU. Used, dead platform ...

Ryzen 1400 costs 150€ new one. And you can OC it on almost any motherboard, so once you do that it will be better than i5 6500 in any task.

 

So to be honest, not sure if I would even pa those 100€
