My Problems With Folding@home

Go to solution Solved by Ithanul,

How many threads are the CPUs set at?

Make sure it is an even number: 2, 4, 6, etc.

Odd numbers on threads cause issues.

Also, when running Nvidia cards, keep one thread on the CPU open for the GPU.

I started folding for the first time today and it went fine. Set up my name, joined the group, and entered my passkey. Everything went fine. This was on a system with a G4560 and a GTX 1060 3GB. When I started folding my second desktop and laptop, however, I encountered a couple problems. The desktop has an i7 4790K with a R9 280X and the laptop had an i7 6700HQ with a GTX 1070. For some reason, on the two systems, the CPUs just say "Ready" and while the GPUs work, I don't get any points for them. Any help would be appreciated.

CPU mining is a waste of power.

My Server's CPUs could compute around 40-50% of what my 390X could when I had them running (dual 8 core/16 thread) and was worth it.

To OP, my gaming PC does the same thing, while my server with much less GPU power would still use my CPUs. Make sure you're set to help "any decease", if not this could also prevent them from working.
