Rust Problem

Sometimes Rust will be playble and work perfectly fine but sometimes it will have me at 1 fps and very laggy. I have an i3 4170 and gtx 1060 3gb.

Its most likely because the game just runs horribly. Shooting drops my fps and sounds make me lag

Rust has terrible optimization.

 

Even after the "new engine" and "optimizations" it still manages to run like crap.

Might be because a base is being destroyed nearby. There is an object to not show the physx part of all the logs falling down etc.

Play Rust Legacy. It's better and will run way better.

Rust is still in beta, and will likely be forever. that way they have an excuse for refusing to optimize it. it runs like shit on every hardware configuration.

I lol'd because when I bought rust I had a FX-6300 and some shitty AMD card and Rust ran fine. Then I upgraded to a GTX 960 and a i5, still ran fine. Now I have a 7700k and a GTX 1070, guess what? Still running perfectly fine. Not to say Rust hasn't had optimization issues, but it has a lot to do with the specific server you're playing on and the entities spawned on it.
