Predator x34 in 2017?

misfitmatt87

Hello Fellow Brothers & Sisters,
I am in the market for a new monitor and was looking into all my options. I currently own a Benq xl2420t, TN/120hz Panel. I want to upgrade my monitor experience, and was looking for something with an IPS and was unwilling to sacrifice my higher refresh rate also I am willing to explore variable refresh rate tech. I came to the decision that I want to pick up Predator x34, but was curious if it is still worth it now? Keep in mind I live in Canada and the cheapest I could find this display for was are $1660 Canadian Rubles, pricey but if you all agree that it is the premium choice I will pony up the dough.
Thanks in Advance.

1.6K seems like an extremely high price. What type of features do you want? Ultra Wide? 4K?

PS: Go at the bottom of the page, click 'theme' and set to dark. You'll see a little problem :)

i have a 2560x1440 144hz GSYNC IPS monitor and i love it...i paid around 800 or 900$CAD for it...and i think double the price just to get ultrawide ain't worth it at all.

Had to make it red so everyone could see, must be an issue when you copy and paste.

Features I'm looking for are Larger than 24", IPS, High refresh Rate. 21x9 or 16x9 doesn't matter to me. Currently use my XL2420t and another 1080p samsung.

these are your options:

i would go with the AOC because it's cheaper...all these monitors use the same IPS 165hz panel...it's just the branding, stand, box etc that is different but they are essentially all the same.

The AOC is 899  and the Acer is 935... Honestly, the Acer is only 35 dollars more I think I would more likely go that route.

Got my X34A for £747

Totally worth it coming from a 1080p 144Hz panel.
