Check Hardware Compatibility Laptop

Hi guys,

So, i have a question.

I want to upgrade the ram and drive in my laptop, as the those, right now, aren't cutting it anymore. (well, it's cutting onions when i use it... T_T)

How do i check whether new hardware is compatible through something like device manager, or similar programs?

For instance, i want to check whether my MOBO can handle DDR4 memory, howz? :3

Cheers! :D

Well, for RAM you have to know what CPU you have and see if it supports DDR4, and for drives you have to either find a teardown of your laptop and see what kind of drive bays you have, or do it yourself and look

Up until now i kind of assumed that the DDR# of ram was dependent on the MOBO... T-T (i7-4700HQ = DDR3)

Thanks for the help! :')
