I would prefer bigger touch pad, no HDMI sticker (keep the port)

I would say make the touchpad a lot larger and make it an actual good quality one. a poor trackpad really makes the experience suffer a lot.

And second, I prefer a glass layer on top of my screen. (i prefer the glossy look) and it adds a more better quality look than the plastic bezel and direct screen

My question is: if it's glass don't you think that it will reflect too much? Especially since it's meant for mobile environments.

Regardless, thanks so much for the feedback!

Larger Touchpad with integrated buttons would be nice. Make sure it's centered too.

The HDMI logo on the deck is a bit out of place too. A clean look would be better.

Some more images of different angles, lid closed, scale comparison, internals and such too would be appreciated :) This is a tech forum after all so Nerd Pr0n is always welcome! :D

Sure! This is prototype right now, so we wanted to get as many angles as possible.

We're focusing mostly on the external design, as how everything is laid out on the outside is EXTREMELY important for laptops. Once we go to a more reliable version we'll be releasing specs. All I can say is: the flagship model will rock dual gpus and raid support.

We're an aspiring tech company. We're kind of different because at the same time we're also a team xD

Now the problem with blues is fitting it in there. Something like reds would be the only MX we might be able to fit in there.

Maybe ML?

We're not Razer, we don't sink lower than HD resolutions.

Your feedback is much appreciated!

PM me your website. My laptop recently blew up so I'll buy a new one in a few months and would love to help a small company

It would add a reflective property but i don't mind that. I guess others would though.

ips is going to add much extra cost to the laptop just so you know. higher than 1080p on a 17" screen how much sense does that make? to me none esp with the 200 or so extra thats going to cost.

i have a hard time reading text on my 17inch 1080p screen already on my msi laptop. cant imagine 1440p

These looks the same to me :D

12 cores on a laptop FTW!

Anyway,a bigger touchpad would be nice.

I personally like a windows key at the left, but that's because I use a lot of shortcuts in Windows and it's easier that way.

Also, is the keyboard membrane/scissors or mechanical. If it's mechanical, will it come in more flavours(blues, reds, etc)?I wonder how the backlight looks like, I don't like portable discos(old alienwares). Also, may I ask what are those lights above the keyboard, close to the hinge?I can't figure out what they are D: .

So how do you guys like the design? Hopefully the lighting on the "glamour" shot, looks nice lol.

Is the HDMI sticker good or unnecessary? Are the audio jacks well placed? Overall aesthetics?

We're thinking about making the touchpad bigger, yay or nay?

All feedback and criticism is cherished.

Thanks!

yay, aye

yep.

Kind of an older design though.

We might throw in a HDMI input, especially on the high res models!

I think most of the feedbacks I can think off have been said in this thread. But if there is one thing I can add, is that the hinge mechanism should have some lock-in feel like a MacBook or something. I have a Lenovo G series laptop and the display just wont shut flush to the chassis because there is no lock-in mechanism. So it kinda flaps around unless I put something on it. And I would have liked the display to have higher rotational angle to avoid unfortunate snapping while 'gaming', if you know what I mean. ;)
