Installing Windows on removable hard drive

I have this 2 tb removable hard drive from seagate and it stores all my games and some files. 

 

Im wondering if i can instal windows on that hard drive, without deleting the games, i have atleast 600gb downloaded on it and i dont want to redownload it

You'd have to shrink the current partition, but the issue is whether flipping the removable bit requires a quick format making you lose your data.

alright guess i'll have to save up 60$ for an ssd

Do you have another drive that you can offload the data to? If you do, you can install the OS on a tiny partition and then add the game data back on.
