Not great value, but can be fun. Would recommend R5 over the i5 though, much better overall (All Ryzen is unlocked, OC'able motherboards are also cheaper).

Please quote our replys so we get a notification and can reply easily. Never cheap out on a PSU, or I will come to watch the fireworks.

Thanks! I've heard from a lot of people here that Ryzen seems to be a much better choice. However, my friend told me the compatibility with Ryzen and EVGA is iffy. Is that true?

Haven't heard anything about that, everything should work fine with what they make.

Its fine. Since you can afford to get either a 7600 or k version,id consider a ryzen 1600

Yes, get a ryzen r5 instead of an i5, I have an i5 for example and I would replace it with a ryzen r5 in a heartbeat. Also, I dont know if your friend maybe accidently got an EVGA board and tried to put a ryzen chip or something or had software issues but you shouldnt encounter any issues.

Yikes

I don't mind you getting an i5-K, but I'd suggest a 1500X since it'll overclock for you. And, as with any gaming rig, getting faster RAM is better and 16GB@3000MHz is the sweet spot (here in the USA).

It looks good to go, the only thing I would recommend is getting at least a bronze power supply from either corsairs new lineup, evga b3, or any seasonic PSU, and a semi modular PSU would also help
