I've recently built a new computer. I have an old Windows 8 copy. It was originally downloaded to a different computer, BUT I deactivated the key by following the instructions on this website: http://windowsreport.com/windows-8-license-transfer-to-new-computer/

I got Windows on my new computer it by putting in a Windows 8 DVD and downloading the OS. In settings it asks me to put in the activation key, but when I do so, it tells me that the product key doesn't work. I am not sure where I went wrong.

Thanks,

Ryan
