A specific computer blocks the network.

Hey,
At start I want to write that any virus, network card problems are eliminated because it was made computer format.

I have a router connected to my modem. Such configuration has been around for several years. Since yesterday for an unknown reason, a desktop computer connected to a router causes the internet not to work. It looks like there was some kind of conflict.
Wherein:
The router is new - TP-Link WR845N. I bought it because there were erroneous premise that the older TP-Link MR3420 is the cause. Money spent unnecessarily...
Internet on a desktop computer works if it is connected directly to the provider's modem.

It is important that if the laptop is connected by cable from the router then the network is working. However, this desktop computer must be connected by a cable - as it has been so far. So routers work well, but not when they are connected to a desktop computer
The ISP has always said that they are all ok from their modem side.

Additional information:
- I do not have a static IP address.
- I was testing a very old router DI-524 and here everything works. However, due to its poor coverage, I have a problem with the wi-fi signal throughout the house.

- Very often after the dynamic allocation of ip gets the same 0.0.0.0, but as soon as the network has been allocated for a while, but after a while the Internet is gone. (on TP-links routers)
- My motherboard is Gigabyte GA-AX370-GAMING K7.

- All new firmare, drivers are here

Why suddenly my computer has problems with routers from TP-Link?

Any tips?

See if your ISP 'modem' is in fact a modem/router.  If so, log into it and change it to bridge mode.  If you don't have bridge mode, you may have an even crappier ISP router and you need to use a 'cascading router' or router behind router setup.

Alternatively, change your TP-LINK range to something other than the default 192.168.x.x just in case it's an IP conflict.

You can also check the logs in the TP-LINK router to see if it has any complaints.

But it worked on TP-Link without anything like that. Just simple plug&play for some years

D-Link works on 192.168.0.1 and its ok. Previous TP-Link worked also on this IP.

Try it if you're able.  It's possible the ISP pushed a firmware to its modems/routers that changed their behavior.  Especially if it's Time Warner.

Tried to do something with 192.168.x.x -  0 results. After that I just disconnected TP-Link, connected Dlink and again - it works.

What just happened to configuration my PC <-> any from TP-Link. It's ridicilous

If you are sure that the problem is not present with another router, try hard resetting your TP-Link router.

Quote

With the Router powered on, press and hold the WPS/RESET button (more than 10 seconds) until the SYS LED becomes quick-flash from slow-flash. Then release the button and wait the Router to reboot to its factory default settings. If you are on the management page, you could use the Factory Defaults function.

Return the TP-Link Router and try a different Router?

I recently bought the Archer C9 (And also have experience with the C7), both of which are fantastic. Alternatively, try a completely different brand, such as ASUS.

Heh, It's not solution. I would do this but It worked and suddenly without any network interference or driver updates stopped

When you connected the Desktop and the Internet "stopped working", was that only on the Desktop, or was that for all other users (including both WIFI and ethernet) as well?

And then suddenly it just started working again?

I still suspect the Router is at fault - likely a bad firmware or straight up defective. Or possibly a bad motherboard (or more specifically, the Ethernet chip) on that desktop.

Connecting desktop to router (TP-Links) cause internet stop working everywhere.

No it wont work with Tp links.

Ok, but TP link routers works if they are connected by cable to other devices (two laptops)

Ok, but how it could be if desktop connected to Dlink works?

If the problem still exists, then your comment here:

makes absolutely no sense. Maybe you just didn't speak clearly.

How exactly is me telling you to return the router and buy a new one "not a solution". There's something clearly wrong, either with the Router you have, or with the computer itself.

Computers are complex things. It could be a defect making a strange yet very specific incompatibility between the two setups. It could be a feature or piece of code that the D-Link router doesn't have, thus not exposing the issue.

Before I bought TP-Link WR845N I ran on TP-Link MR3420 and again "It worked and suddenly without any network interference or driver updates stopped"

So how on both NIC TP-Links decided not to work anymore?

Yeah that sentence is very unclear as to what you're actually saying.

But as I said, try a different brand if getting another TP-Link scares you. Buy a new D-Link for example, since the old D-Link you have works.

Tested also on D-link DIR-809/E. Internet doesnt work on both NICs (on desktop)

Summarizing, somehow happened to my desktop I guess. NICs have weird problem but why it still work on D-link DI-524?
