If your using it at 1000 dpi or above the sensor is poor. But at like 500 dpi the sensor is fine.

Edit: If you're looking for a cheap mouse with a great sensor the G203 is great for claw or fingertip grip. Usually too small for a palm gripper though unless your friend has very small hands
