Thank god. Friend codes are laughable...having to ask your friends to give you their 12 digit number is so archaic it's depressing.

Nope. Not paying for online if you have to ghetto rig this shit to be able to communicate online. Xbox figured this out 15 years ago.

I've been using Discord on my phone for voice chat when I play on consoles recently because PS4's has a delay and Xbones sounds like crap, for me anyway. I guess this won't be any different

I've always hated those types of headphones. For people with big ears like me, they can really start to hurt after extended use. The Nomad 1 headset / earphones for the Nintendo Switch look a lot more stylish and comfterable. Just my opinion though.
