Yes you will see tangible improvement, as your RAM is currently crazy slow.

I didn't even know you could get DDR3 that slow :P

A 1333MHz kit will be fine :)

He is using 1333Mhz. Remember that DDR is Double data rate. So he is running 690x2 =1380. So it is 1333Mhz

Hmm, yea I think this is probably what he means actually. I didn't consider that.

It's the way it was worded: "being 690mhz to 1600mhz."

Using 2 different methods of measuring to compare.

 

In that case, no @Gregas , you will not see much of an improvement going to 1600MHz RAM.

Thanks for your input guys.

I think i am still going to upgrade their is a really good deal  on corsair ram at my local PC store.

If you think it is worth the upgrade. Like I said before, you will see no performance difference. Only thing you can do is increase your capacity which might help if you multitask.
