Whats The Difference?

BrennanW808

I am going to buy an rx 460 and have narrowed it down to the

ASUS ROG STRIX Radeon RX 460 4GB OC Edition AMD Gaming Graphics Card

or

XFX AMD Radeon RX 460 4GB GDDR5 DVI/HDMI/DisplayPort PCI-Express Video Card

They have very different price points so if i buy the asus will the extra money be worth it or will the xfx be the same?

The Asus card will likely clock higher if you overclock it, but the xfx card is only clocked a paltry 1% slower out of the box.

The memory on the Asus card *is* clocked substantially faster though, so in memory constrained games it might perform slightly better.

Really you shouldn't see too much difference between them,

The cooler and out of the box clocks is the only difference.

You probably won't be limited by temps when overclocking a 460 anyways, so get the cheaper card.

AMD Ryzen R7 1700 (3.8ghz) w/ NH-D14, EVGA RTX 2080 XC (stock), 4*4GB DDR4 3000MT/s RAM, Gigabyte AB350-Gaming-3 MB, CX750M PSU, 1.5TB SDD + 7TB HDD, Phanteks enthoo pro case
