Been there done that. I love competitive play with actual legitimate player-bases, any others?

Overwatch certainly has great community, though it isn't pure FPS like CS:GO.

if you want an another type of game KSP has an excellent community, in my experience, everyone seems nice.  you can play CSGO LAN with your friends or halo 1, 2 seems like a good bet.

I feel like the CSGO community is trash because everyone likes to think they are too good. "Oh I NEED a 144Hz 1ms monitor and a 300$ mouse or else I CANT play"

I dont see that in ANY other fps(I can be wrong ofc).

Ultra is stupid. ALWAYS.

People don't think the community is bad because they are elitist about peripherals, but because people are toxic inside of the game. The same as with many gaming communities.

When I play CSGO I find it to be a mixxed bag. Some games you get great teammates other games you get Russians. Its always a risk.

I agree, I get complete mixes. I mean Russians tend to usually be more aggressive so I use the location blocker to remove Russian servers and usually stick to west servers. I mean I love it when I get on Scandinavian servers, I really enjoy talking to the Finnish and the Swedes.

Squad

I know it is not as fast paced, but the community is probably the least toxic I have ever experienced. And if you enjoy tactics and team play then this us for you.

Most other games I play are usually full of idiots that wanna see the world burn.

|| Sapphire Pulse RX 6700 10G || MSI B450i Gaming PLUS MAX Wifi
  || Kingston NV1 2TB m.2 ||  Corsair SF600 || Intertech IM 1 |||
Peripherals: Sennheiser PC  360 G4ME || AOC CQ27G2U || Viewsonic PX701HD || Keychron V1 || Logitech G303 Shroud Edition||| Laptop: XPS 13 2in1 7390 || Steam Deck 256 GB (64GB Version) ||| Cameras: Fujifilm XH-1 || Fujifilm X100T

Insurgency is significantly harder, which made kids run away if my experience can be generalized. That led to more driven and serious players. You should definitely give it attention :)

Rainbow six siege is quite enjoyable in my opinion, maybe that could be another option for you :)

I've usually had a more pleasant experience on the Battlefield platform, though I haven't gone past BF4 yet for hardware reasons.  Aside from the occasional hacker, it's a more friendly environment than CSGO IMHO.

The bulk of competitive fps base is toxic. This has only been getting worse over the years.

Squad is great as well with a great community. However, aside from some toxic kids, i dont think CS:GO is that bad at all. Atleast not on my rank, and i'm not even high.

I uninstalled CS:GO once I played "Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex - First Assault Online" (could they have made the name any longer???), it's a nice fast paced free FPS that's been in beta for a while now but while the community is small it's not toxic so I enjoy it. It's free so you have nothing to lose except your own free time.
