Dust check, and advice

Erbyy

I come to this site alot, but one thing ive always wondered is this. I have a dog in my house, and my office is carpeted which is where he sleeps. I am worried about dust buildup in my computer but the case i have is the Corsair Spec-02. The freaking thing doesn't have any dust filters. The top has this flimsy plastic mesh which doesn't stop F all but 1% of large dust particles. Same so called "filter" thats on the PSU and the top intake. But, the front however has this fine holed metal mesh that i just took off to improve airflow. Which ive noticed a change in temps doing so. So heres my dilemma. Do i keep the crap provided dust filters? Or take them off. At least the front intake one. Because i clean my system honestly twice a month and i dont let it get too out of hand. What are your experiences?

This is the mesh im talking about.

My case doesn't have any filters, and several entry/exit holes for air. I clean my pc every ~6 months, and I usually manage to keep my computers for several years. (previous main pc components lasted me 10 years)

And by cleaning my pc I mean really clean it. New thermal paste, toothbrush cleaning, few drops of oil in my fans... I even clean the internals of my PSU. (no warranty stickers can be found anymoar)

Keep the filters off, as you clean the pc way often, so it won't matter much.

I live in a desert city, use pc without panels, and still am able to manage it by cleaning every month.

And yes I have a labrador who sheds hair af.

Toothbrush? I use paintbrush anyway, and that's a good maintenance on a PC
