GT 1030 Above

It's for my friends prebuilt. He wants to play H1Z1 and Player Unknown. He doesn't know the specific specs of his PC but he says that it is running Windows 7 and that he bought it 4 years back. He also says that for it's time it was pretty good so I'd take a guess and say i5 or i3. I'm open to any other suggestions so long as they're under 100 GBP and don't need a power cable as his PSU is probably complete crap. TIA

Both cards won't run the games you listed at 1080p. Search for the RX 560

Both these cards are overpriced pieces of junk, stay away from them. If you are on a tight budget look at second hand 750Ti's or look at new cards such as the RX 460, RX 560 or GTX 1050.

Fairly sure you can get a GTX 1050 for 100 quid...

Older used graphics cards and a used PSU should be the best, just pick up the cheapest 400w 80+ PSU and an old 760/770/960 :)

How much better would the performance be? Also would I not run into compatibility issues with the older cards?

The reason I put the 1030 link up was because it was 65 quid and performs similarly, or at least I think so. Correct me if I'm wrong

Is the 750ti better than the 1030? Also I'm pretty sure that the 560 needs a connector.

What is the cheapest card that'll be able to run Battlegrounds at medium 1080p above 60fps?

Is the 950 not able to play Battlegrounds? @Moress

It is. Just difficult to put minimum specs in the terms of several generations. Id say 760/950/1050?

Sounds right. Thanks for all the help. Just 1 last question for today- does the 60 need a PCI PSU connector?

The GTX 1050 performs significantly better. The GT 1030 presents a rather poor price/performance ratio and it's also a general rule to never go below *50 with NVIDIA cards.

Get a used 750 Ti.  Best card NVIDIA has made IMO.  It doesn't require any extra power, stays cool, and is cheap.  Up until a month ago, I was using it to play all my games.

I meant below the *50 series (i.e. GTX 950, GTX 1050 etc.).

Honestly thought this was the first non-mobile GPU they've made with a post-fix under 50.
