Is there any way to block ads on a Samsung Smart TV's web browser?

Title says it all.

My TV is a Samsung 49" FHD Curved Smart TV Series 6 (Model Number: K6300), if that helps.

Probably not unless there's a custom ROM you can flash.

But on some routers you can, or use a pc as a router.

Does you mum know you're here?

Maybe through a ip/url filtering if you have router with that function.

Or parent mode (child safety) feature to block certain domains perhaps.  You'd have to work out what they are though.  Maybe enable Internet Connection Sharing on a Windows PC and connect your TV through that so you can log the traffic.

Thanks for the feedback, guys. Can someone give me a list of ad sites? Google is confusing my searches for ad posting sites lmao

i have a raspberry pi running Pi-Hole on my network, which is working to block ads on our smart tv. however, because of the way google provides its ad service, it has issues blocking youtube ads, i can stop some, but not all.

This list might get you started:

It's designed to block those domains (ads/malicious sites) when correctly implemented on Windows computers (not really designed with smart TVs in mind).
