1070 vs 580

Already have paid for a 1600 with motherboard and ram but im not sure which gpu to buy, if i go with the 580 i need a new psu due to not having enough pcie power connectors(1 6+2) but this still works out cheaper than a 1070 so i guess the question is, which one, i have the budget for either so do i need the 1070? Or maybe a 1060?

RX 580 > GTX 1060

1070 doesnt have competitor yet. Maybe next month when RX Vega releases.

Go with RX 580 from Sapphire or ASUS

You should if you have large budget but you will have to change PSU

buy 1060 or 1070, i would never buy a 580 just because it consumes power like a truck

WHAT so you would rathwr buy a gpu with less performance (1060) just for the sake of power?

Will i? The 1600 is low tdp so it should stay under 500w and i have the 6+2 connector for the 1070?

A 1070 is a better buy but what exactly is your PSU

tbh its a low quality unit so I wouldn't pair it with any gpu mentioned. i have yet to see a non 80 bronze unit that is good.

where are you buying from

what is your budget to spend

you could try spend other parts cheaper like a cheaper mobo for example to save cost and get a good psu and gpu

580 still loses performance over a 1070,it depends on how much more is a 1070

similar performance to the 1060 in most dx 11 titles wins 1060 in all dx12 titles. your point?

Lel. The 580 is 5% faster unless you play GTA V or 2015 and older games. So they are equal ;)
